It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Virginia A. Vigil after a short illness. She left this world from her precious home in Fairview on Thursday January 27, 2022. Virginia was born in Espanola on May 13, 1932 and remained a lifelong resident of Espanola until her passing. Virginia, better known as Virgie, was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great-great grandmother. Her family was the center of everything she did. She was a devoted Catholic and belonged to the Santa Cruz de la Canada Parish. She enjoyed cooking and baking and taking care of her family and especially spoiling her grandchildren. She also enjoyed having her friends and family over for gatherings, (especially Christmas) to enjoy her delicious home cooked meals which always included her homemade bread. She will be greatly missed because of the closeness of the entire family, a family that she cherished above all.

The shop was such a welcoming environment that all her customers became her friends.
