Gayle Teague, 80, of Los Alamos, passed away at home on Thursday, February 15, 2018. Gayle is survived by his mother, Grace; wife, Nancy of 45 years; sons, Jonathan and Mark; brothers, Gerald (Donnie) and Samuel, and his loving grandchildren John, Christopher and Maya. Gayle was a loving father, husband, and grandfather.
Gayle worked for many years as a real estate broker during the 1970’s and early 1980’s in Colorado and Texas. After the real estate and oil markets crashed in the early 80’s his career took a different turn, and he moved his family to Los Alamos to work with the Protective Force at Los Alamos National Laboratory, where he worked for over 13 years before retiring.
Gayle was an avid reader and motorcycle rider. He also wrote poetry, authored a book and enjoyed fly fishing. Recently Gayle pursued his passion of training and working with dogs and was regarded by many in the community as the best dog trainer in the area.
Funeral services for Gayle will be at United Methodist Church in Los Alamos on Thursday February 22 from 1:00-2:00 pm. Gayle will be laid to rest at Guaje Pines Cemetery in Los Alamos, New Mexico. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Los Alamos County Animal Shelter, 226 East Rd., Los Alamos, NM.
