Yvonne Margaret Calvert, 38, born November 16, 1982, passed away peacefully in her home in Espanola with her family by her side in the early morning of February 16, 2021.

She was preceded in death by her very close Maternal Grandparents Mary and Arturo Vigil of Chimayo; Paternal Grandparents Ruth and Luis Bustos of Espanola; Uncles Jerry and Luis Bustos of Espanola; Ernie Fernandez of Espanola; Sam Vigil (Godfather) of Chimayo and Cousin Lori Ann Vigil of Chimayo. Yvonne is survived by her loving Husband Marcelino (Mars) Calvert; her four children Jerome and Destiny Martinez, Marcus and Anika Calvert; her Parents Lawrence and Helen Bustos; Brother Lorenzo Bustos; Sister Ashley (AJ) Sandoval; her nephew's and a niece that loved her dearly, David, Nicholas and Lilly Sandoval; a Special Aunt Ruby Maes of Espanola; Aunt Sylvia Bustos of Hernandez; Aunt Bernie Vigil (Godmother) of Chimayo; Uncle Albert (Linda) Vigil of Chimayo; Mother-in-law Laura Calvert of Ohkay Owingeh; Father-in-law James Calvert of Albuquerque; Brother-in-law Darren (Brianna) Calvert of Ohkay Owingeh; Sister-in-law Katerie (Dezjuan) Shields of Santa Fe; Cousins Sammy Jr., Charles, and Michael Vigil, Gerrie Coriz, Luis, Camilla, and Marissa Bustos; Ernie and Kimberly Fernandez; a very close Cousin Gabriel Archuleta; and her extended Cata and Calvert Family from Ohkay Owingeh. Yvonne and Marcelino were united in marriage through the Catholic Church by their Padrino’s Stephanie and Vernon Martinez.

Yvonne spent many years working at the local casinos in the Espanola Valley where she made many friends for several years as a main banker and was very meticulous at accounting for all the monies in the cage. Her last years were spent being a homemaker to her husband and four children.Yvonne was always a very loving, giving and no doubt humorous person. Every time you were around Yvonne you were guaranteed to laugh or smile.

A rosary will be held on Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Santa Cruz with a memorial mass to be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, only 75 people are allowed in the church. A live broadcast will be available on Facebook- Santacruz Espanola, You tube- Santacruz Parish Espanola and 96.7 FM-St. Joseph Manyanet Catholic Radio.

Burial to follow at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Jerome Martinez, Lorenzo Bustos, Darren Calvert, Dezjuan Shields, Brandon Cata, Gabriel Archuleta, and Nicholas and AJ Sandoval. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Destiny Martinez, Marcus and Anika Calvert, Isaiah Valdez, and David and Lilly Sandoval.
