Virginia Gonzales

VIRGINIA R. GONZALES, 93, of Sombrillo, NM passed away on November 5, 2021. Virginia was born and raised in the Espanola Valley, attended The Lady of Loretto Academy, and worked three careers including the Federal Selective Service (draft board) covering Rio Arriba County, and she served many years at Holy Cross Parish. Retirement was not in her vocabulary. Virginia was preceded in death by her parents Jose and Ida Roybal, and daughter Diane Chacon. She is survived by her daughter Lorraine McGuinness (William), son Gilbert Gonzales; sister Marie Alarid (husband Louis); grandchildren Melissa Gordon (Cliff), Heidi Lattuca (JD), Erin Gonzales (husband Chris) Christopher Gonzales, and Lucas Gonzales; great grandchildren Kylie Kirk (Devin) and Ashley Gordon; nephews Alan Alarid and James Alarid (Bonita). A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday Nov. 20, 2021 at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Santa Cruz. Rosary precedes the mass at 10:00 a.m. The family of Virginia R.
