Viola Ahrens

Obituary

Viola Emma Helen Ahrens passed away peacefully at her home in Abiquiu April 21, 2022.  She was 99 years old – born May 19, 1922.  She was preceded in death by her husband Lorin Ahrens, son Orvind Ahrens and daughter in law Sue Ahrens.  She is survived by her children Ronald Ahrens and wife Betty of Michigan, Vernon Sorenson and wife Aida of Texas, Dorian Ahrens and significant other Carol of Wisconsin, Lore Pease and husband Bill, Dianne Hellman of Tennessee, Larry Ahrens and wife Bonnie of Wisconsin, and many Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren and Great Great Grandchildren.

Viola and Lorin were both born and lived in Wisconsin where the two will be buried with a family gathering and a celebration of life ceremony – date tbd.  They retired to New Mexico where they enjoyed their final years.  The family has entrusted the care of their loved one to DeVargas Funeral & Crematory of the Espanola Valley.
