Valente Terrazas Sandoval

Valente Terrazas Sandoval, Ojo Caliente passed away on Sunday, April 18, 2021. Valente is preceded in death by his parents, Guadalupe and Ramon Terrazas, brothers, Ramon Terrazas Jr., Oscar Terrazas; sister, and Conception Jaquez.Valente came into the US in the mid 60’s.  Becoming a rancher all his life.  Always surrounded by his wife and 9 children.  Passing on his mechanical knowledge to his kids. Enjoying the simplicity of life, full of love for his family and friends.  He lived a happy and beautiful life surrounded by his wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Amelia Terrazas; children, Mercedes, Raymundo (Carla), Valente Jr. (Gina), Maria (Jorge), Dora, Jose (Yvonne), Gabriel (Stephanie), Andy (Brean), Jaime (Jeri), 31 grandchildren and 28 Great-grandchildren. Public visitation will begin on Thursday, April 22, 2021 at 6:00 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory, with a rosary to follow at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, April 23, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Ojo Caliente, burial will follow at Ojo Caliente Cemetery. Serving the family as pallbearers are Raymundo, Valente Jr., Jose, Gabriel, Andy, and Jamie.
