Tonnie Romero

TONNIE ROMERO , 91, a resident of Cordova, passed away on Saturday, January 25, 2020. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leandro and Trinidad Trujillo; husband, Acorcinio Romero; siblings, Grabielita Cordova, Nicholas Trujillo, Cayetano Trujillo, Rose Velarde and Bernie Sandoval; infant grandchildren, Jessica Vigil and Stephanie Romero. Mrs. Romero is survived by her children, Trinnie Romero Archuleta, Nora Chavez (John), Betty Ortiz (Lawrence), Beneranda Vigil, Gloria Vigil (Jesse), Roy Romero (Emily) and Josephine Griego (John); brother-in-law, Feliciano Sandoval; special friends, Christobal and Sabinita Ortiz and Edumenio and Ilean Martinez and numerous other relatives and friends. Public visitation will begin on Friday, January 31, 2020 at 6:00 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory with a devotional service to follow at 7:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. also in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory. Burial to follow at the Cordova Presbyterian Cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers, Leroy Vigil, Carlos Vigil, Kyle Archuleta, Andres Vigil, Roy Romero, Fabian Torrez, Andrew Ortiz, Tony Vigil, Danny Archuleta and Marvin Torrez. Honorary pallbearers will be all her 48 grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The family of Tonnie Romero has entrusted their loved one to DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
