ROLAND GARCIA, 53, a resident of San Pedro, passed away on Saturday, February 13, 2021. He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph ‘Mado’ Garcia; brother, Brandon Garcia; paternal grandparents, Feliciano and Adelina Garcia, maternal grandfather, George M. Martinez; uncle, Robert “Bobby” Esquibel.  Roland was a loving son, father and brother Roland has been part of so many people’s lives’ and has brought joy to so many. Roland is known for being an amazing artist, Harley mechanic, carpenter and biker, always being a rebel with a heart so big. He loved the outdoors and riding his bike no matter what rain, snow or shine and you could always see him with his little sidekick Jax sitting on his lap. Roland loved his family and his children more than anything. He was extremely proud of his kids and would always brag about them. He will be missed by so many and no one will be able to fill his shoes. He is watching over us with a giant smile on his face. Roland was a proud member of the Men’s Acts and served on team many times.  He was also a member of Santa Cruz De La Canada Catholic Church, where you would find him every Sunday at the 10:30 Mass.  He adored his mom and worried so much about her. The love they had for each other was one of a kind.  She will miss him tremendously.  Roland is survived by his son, Marcos Roland Garcia (Chantelle), daughter, Chanell Garcia; mother, Angela Garcia; sisters, Cynthia (Cindy) Martinez (Goddaughter), Winterbrooke Garcia, Maitai Garcia (Brandon); grandmother, Cleo Martinez; mother of his children, Andrea Serna and his Dog Jax. A rosary will be held on Friday, February 26, 2021 at 11:30 a.m. at La Iglesia de Santa Cruz de la Canada, with a mass to follow at 12:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery.  Services will be livestreamed on Facebook and You Tube.  Serving the family as pallbearers are Chanell Garcia, Cynthia (Cindy) Martinez, Winterbrooke Garcia, Maitai Garcia, Brandon Lopez, Santiago Garcia, Eloy “Gramps” Roybal, and Silviano Tucker. The family of Roland Garcia has entrusted the care of their loved one to the DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Espanola Valley.
