Rocky Manuel Wheeler, 59 Resident of Santa Fe Originally of Chamita was called home to be in the presence of our Heavenly Father on January 18, 2021.  Manuel was preceded in death by his Father Raymond V. Wheeler; Maternal Grandparents, Alberto and Rosita DeHerrera; Paternal Grandparents Samuel and Mary Wheeler; Great-Grandmother Josefita Herrera; Uncle Romolo DeHerrera; Aunts, Rita Carrasco, Marcie Sutherburg, Mary and Judy Wheeler and Nephew Gilbert Herrera Jr.

Manuel was the owner of Espanola Floral Company for many years in which he took pride and passion in his work, and it showed in his beautiful floral arrangements. He was also known for his beautiful holiday parties he would host at his flower shop.  He enjoyed playing the guitar, singing, and cooking.  He adored his mother, Lydia and took good care of her for as long as he could. He also adored his sister Theresa who was his best friend and was like a mother at times.  He had great love for all his brothers in which he had a special bond with each of them.  His nieces and nephew were cherished by him and he loved all of them immensely.  Manuel will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.  Manuel is survived by his loving Mother Lydia Wheeler of Chamita, Sister Theresa Herrera and Husband Gilbert of Chamita; Brothers, Raymond Wheeler and Wife Carol of San Pedro, Anthony Wheeler and Wife Debra of Chamita, Johnny Wheeler and Wife Patricia of Cuarteles, Danny Wheeler and Wife Andrea of Nambe; Nephews, Santiago Martinez (Anna), Brandon Wheeler, Kenneth Wheeler, and Leroy Jaramillo; Nieces, God daughter Jacquline Munoz (Roland), Desiree Wheeler, Jessica Jaramillo (Jerome), Nadine Chavez (Rick), Meagan Wheeler, and Victoria Wheeler; Great-nieces and nephews, Joslyn and Santos Martinez, Jimmy James and Diego Wheeler, Camila Rodriguez, Isabella Munoz, Alycia and Lukus Archibeque, Camila DeVargas, and Zayn Jaramillo; Uncles Pete De Herrera (Roberta), David De Herrera (Marie), Tony Wheeler (Alice), Johnny Wheeler, and Lee Carrasco; Aunts, Linda Chavez (Paul), Irene Vigil (Eddie), Cordy Herrera (Donald), JoAnn De Aguero (Archie), June Galvan and Rose DeHerrera.  Best Friends Louie Armijo and Jenny and many cousins, relatives and friends. A rosary will be held on Monday, January 25, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Ohkay Owingeh, with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11:15 a.m. Due to Covid19 restrictions services will be for family only but will be live streamed on Facebook at St. Joseph Manyanet Radio. Burial will be held at the San Pedro Catholic Cemetery in Chamita with the following caring Manuel to his final resting place, his brothers Anthony, Danny, Raymond, Johnny Wheeler and Gilbert Herrera, Nephews Brandon, Kenneth and Jimmy James Wheeler.  The family of Rocky Manuel Wheeler has entrusted the care of their loved one to the DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Espanola Valley. 505-747-7477-www.devargasfuneral.com
