Randy M. Martinez , 52, born March 8, 1968, a resident of Rio Rancho passed away on Sunday, November 22, 2020. He was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Pedro and Isabel Padilla, whom he often talked about his grandpas stories, of Hernandez; paternal grandparents, Leopoldo and Trinidad Martinez; a baby nephew, Ninito Martinez; special uncle and aunt, Gary and Vickie Padilla; uncles, Joe (Che) Martinez, Elesio Martinez, Pablo Martinez; aunts, Josie Trujillo and Helen Salazar; special grandma-in-law who he loved as his own grandmother, Carolina Romero and grandfather-in-law, Carmen Romero, Jimmy Romero, and Jimmy Romero Jr. Randy is survived by his wife of 32 years, Daisy Martinez; children, Miranda Martinez and husband Josh, Randy Martinez Jr. and fiancé Nyelle Martin and Aaron Martinez and wife Laura; special granddaughter, Aleah Apodaca who was the apple of his eye; step -grandchildren, David and Ashley Martinez; parents, Belarmino and Lita Martinez; brother, Nino Martinez and wife Ellea; sisters, Lori Martinez and husband Tony and Stephanie Martinez; Godchildren, Adriana Abeyta, Thomas Sosa, Tyisha Moya whom he help raise like a daughter, Sonny Romero Jr., Raquail Martinez, Nakitta Martinez and Fabine Herrera; mother-in-law, Heralda Romero whom he loved to joke with; father-in-law, Isreal and wife Edna Martinez; brother-in-law, Sonny Romero whom him called his carnal and was his Tile partner; sisters-in-law, Mercy Martinez, Gloria and husband Gorge, and Jenny Martinez; nieces and nephew, Danielle, Gabby, Nikki, Brandon, Jerome and Christine Martinez, Marcelino Martinez and wife Alex, Mariah and husband Brandon, Typhanie Moya, Latysha and Gabe, Alyanna Moya, Katrina and Aaron, Robert Moya Jr., Jaselle Romero who he also helped raise and Davian Martinez; great nephew and nieces, Fabine, Yeshua, Azlyanna, Jediah, Jayleigh and Aulani; special cousins he loved like siblings, Steven Padilla and wife Liane, Juliet Padilla whom he called her little bulle and Isabel Padilla; special aunt, Ester Martinez who loved him very much and he was her favorite nephew; aunts, Ernestine Edmonds, Edna Schutz and Connie; uncles, Tony Martinez and wife Mary, Frutoso and Bernice Martinez and all cousins that he loved. And a special thank you to his nurse, Selena Trujillo. Randy owned his own tile company, Lobo Construction in 1990 until he started working at the Los Alamos National Laboratory in 2002 as an RCT. Randy loved being around his family especially his granddaughter Aleah who he nick named her peah, he loved pinching her checks and playing math games with her.  One day she was drawing on his face and stomach the next day he had a doctor’s appointment and he washed his face and left when he got to his appointment the doctor told him to lift his shirt so they can hear his heart, he forgot he had a big smiley face on his stomach. Randy was very proud of his two boys Randy Jr. and Aaron for being in the military and also very proud of his daughter, Miranda she would go over every day and take care of him. She was his home nurse they would listen to music and would watch their favorite TV shows and on football nights we would all sit down and watch football. He loved his son-in-law, Josh and would sit down and always joke around with. He loved watching anime with his daughter-in-law, Laura who he called his little bunny. He would joke and tell his daughter-in-law, Nyelle to hurry up and get married and have babies. He also had a very special dog named Pikachu he called him his little buddy. Randy’s favorite hobbies were collecting coins, Conan comics, video games, sports, camping, fishing, and chopping wood. He loved watching basketball and football games and never missed a game; he was always cracking jokes, his laugh would always light up the room. He was a sports fanatic his favorite football team was the Broncos. He always gave good advice. He was a good person he sacrificed a lot for his family and for others in need. He taught his kids the importance of life and qualities of being a good selfless person. He was a happy person and was nice to everyone. He enjoyed having his mother-in-law over and joke and laugh all the time. He also loved going to visit his parents and loved his moms cooking especially her green chili stew. He loved fighting and joking with his sister, Lori. He loved hanging out with his brother, Nino and sister-in-law and having dinner dates with them. He would always give his sister, Stephanie, a hard time and call her the nanny he also taught her, her first bad word. Randy loved and cherished his wife Daisy he was always doing everything for her they were inseparable; they would take rides to the mountains and listen to Spanish music. Daisy was his best friend the light of his life and his everything. Due to Covid-19, private services will be held. Serving the family as pallbearers will be, Randy Martinez Jr., Aaron Martinez, Marcelino Martinez, Fernando Salazar, Jerome Campos, Joshua Martinez, Nino Martinez, and Brandon Martinez. Honorary pallbearers will be, Noel Romero and Joseph Martinez. The family of Randy M. Martinez has entrusted the care of their loved one to DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
