RAMONCITA MARTINEZ , 37, a resident of Chimayo, passed away of a lengthy illness with her loving family by her side on Friday, May 3, 2019.  Ramoncita was preceded in death by her mother, Beverly (Bambi), father, Zacarias Martinez; brothers, Hector, Zacarias II, Jacobo Martinez; maternal grandfather, Cicilio Martinez, paternal grandparents, Arlo Sr. and Cordelia Martinez; aunt, Edna Martinez, uncles, Ronald Martinez, Gilbert Martinez and Arlo Martinez Jr. She is survived by her son, Michael Padilla Jr. and girlfriend Elizia Vela of Chimayo; father of her son, Michael Padilla Sr. of Loveland, CO; daughter, Beverly Rodriguez; Nephew whom she raised like her own, Zacarias Martinez III, Heather Padilla from Loveland; father of her daughter, Roderick Rodriguez of Rio Rancho; grandmother, Lily Martinez of Chimayo; brother, Jerome Martinez and companion Petra of Santa Cruz; nieces, Neveah, Serernity, and Liliana Martinez of Alcalde; uncles, Michael and Diane Martinez of Angel Fire, Michael and Eremita Martinez of La Puebla, aunt, Fatima Martinez of San Juan and numerous great aunts, uncles cousins and “friends”. A devotional service will be held on Friday, May 10, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. at the Christian Church in Española. Serving the family as honorary pallbearers are all her “Brothers and Sisters”. The family of Ramoncita Martinez has entrusted the care of their loved one to the DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Espanola Valley.
