Priscilla A. Martinez, 93, of Vadito, NM passed away peacefully on April 13, 2021.  She was born on February 22, 1928 to Emilio and Luisita Vasquez of Peñasco.  She and her twin brother were the second youngest of fifteen children.  Priscilla was the last of her fifteen Vasquez siblings.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Noe Martinez; her eldest son Paul and her youngest son Lawrence Albert; along with her parents, her brothers and her sisters.

Priscilla was a woman of faith.  She volunteered her time for many years with RCIA.  She was a housekeeper for her priest at San Antonio De Padua Catholic Church in Peñasco.  She loved gardening, knitting, sewing, reading her bible and praying the rosary.  She attended mass every Sunday and when she no longer could physically attend, she would watch the mass everyday on EWTN. She loved listening to Christian music. She had many nephews and nieces whom she loved dearly and she treasured her friends.

She is survived by her son Emilio Isaac Martinez and wife Josephine, daughter in laws Dolores (Paul’s wife) and Dolores (Albert’s wife).  Very special to her and who brought her so much joy were her eight grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.

Serving as pall bearers are her beloved grandsons Stephen, Dennis, Daniel, Ronald, Lawrence, and Mark Martinez.

Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday April 20, 2021 at 11:00 at San Antonio De Padua Catholic Church in Peñasco with a burial to follow.
