Orlando Johnnie Torres, 46,  a resident of Cordova went with Our Heavenly Father on Saturday, November 28, 2020. Orlando loved helping everyone and always made people feel welcome. He always had a smile on his face, he always made you laugh with his great personality, and he was a great person to be around. He was preceded in death by his father Jose Adelaido Torrez, his brother Ricky Torrez, his infant sisters Angela and Diana, his paternal grandparents Remijo and Adela Torrez, his maternal grandparents Juan Antonio and Rosalia DeAguero, his uncles Carlos, Randy, and Juan DeAguero, Jesse Cordova, Gilbert and Paulito Torrez, and his aunts Mary DeAguero, Floy Medart, and Isabel Sanchez.

He is survived by his loving mother Alice Torrez, daughters Tiffany Torres and Selena Moya, brother Robert Torrez (Bonnie), sisters Linda Padilla (Albert) and Corine Torrez (Matt), nieces that were like sisters to him Kysha Lujan (Josh), Lorraine Sandoval (Julian), and Jeanette Montano (Juan), nephew who was like his little brother Jason Torrez (Angel), nieces Denise and Audrey Padilla (Ambrose), uncles Nelson DeAguero, Lawrence Torrez (Nina), Rowdy Torrez (Victoria), Duane Sanchez (Reina), and Bobby Sanchez, Aunts Belinda Roybal (Delbert), Susie Cordova, Cathy Cordova, Clorida Prado (Arturo), Betty Torrez, Julia Cooper, and Erlinda Torrez, and many other nieces and cousins.

A rosary will be held on Wednesday, December 9, 2020 at 6:00 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory. A second rosary will be held on Thursday, December 10, 2020 at 6:00 p.m. also in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory. Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, December 12, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church in Chimayo, with a burial to follow at the Cordova Cemetery. Serving as Pallbearers are Robert Torrez, Jason Torrez, Lawrence Torrez, Dwayne Sanchez, Matthew Salazar, and Julian Sandoval.  The family of Orlando Johnnie Torres has entrusted the care of their loved one to the DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Espanola Valley. 505-747-7477-www.devargasfuneral.com
