Oliver Martinez

Oliver A Martinez was born on June 17, 1945, in Canjilon, New Mexico to Jose Abran and Eduvigen Martinez. He passed away on November 22, 2021, after battling Covid. Oliver is survived by his son Torrey and his fur baby, faithful companion, Bailey, 5 brothers, Adan, Vicente (Sally), Abran, Eloy (Deluvina), Max (Mary), and one sister Teresita (Ralph) Jaramillo. Oliver was a kind, caring man who was always willing to help anyone. He was a long-time resident of Tooele, Utah. Oliver moved to Utah in the mid 60’s and was employed by Union Pacific Railroad for 35 years and then retired. He had many lifelong friends. He stayed busy and enjoyed life, going on cruises, traveling, hunting, fishing, taking walks, and working out. He was a good cook and enjoyed watching his novellas, football games, and doing puzzles. We miss him greatly. Special thank you to Jeff (Patron) for so much help. Oliver is preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, 3 brothers Juan Grande, Juan Estevan, Gilberto, and sister Valdinia, many aunts, uncles, cousins, and 2 dogs Rico and Sausage. We love and miss you Oliver R.I.P. Later! A visitation will be held on Wednesday December 1st from 3-4 p.m. at Tate Mortuary in Tooele, Utah. An additional visitation will be held on Saturday December 4th from 2-4 p.m. at DeVargas Funeral Home in Espanola, New Mexico.
