Obituary

Nobert Martinez, 67, joined his heavenly father on April 22, 2021.  He was born on April 1, 1954 in Canjilon, NM to Eraldo and Adela Martinez.  He was the 2nd of 11 children.  He spent his career in the electrical field as a supply house salesman and a journeyman electrician.  He worked 15 years as an electrician for Farmington Municipal Schools, where he retired in 2016.

Nobert was a devout Catholic and loved serving his church and community.  He devoted his life to his faith and family.

Nobert was preceded in death by his father, Eraldo, his Uncle Antonio, and brother Leonard.  He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Beatrice Martinez; children Gilbert(Rachel), Trent(Brooke), and Burt(Ana); 7 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren, whom he loved and adored.

Honorary pallbearers will be his grandchildren: Nick, Heather, Nathan, Bradyn, Alissa, JC, and Elias, and great-grandchildren: Nico, Luis, Junior, Anastasia, Ramon and Aubrie, and his Godson Darrell Martinez

Public visitation will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 28, 2021 in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory with prayer service follow at 4:00 p.m.  A memorial service for Nobert is scheduled at St. Mary’s Parish in Farmington. A rosary service will commence at 10:30AM with the Mass service following at 11:00 AM on Friday May 7th. Information for St. Mary’s can be found at https://www.stmarysfmt.org.
