Nathan Garcia

Nathan Joseph Garcia, 38, a resident of Rio Chama, passed away on Sunday, December 2, 2018 as a result of an automobile accident. He was preceded in death by his father, Noberto Garcia; maternal grandfather, Joe M. Trujillo; paternal grandparents, Amarante and Prisciliana Garcia; maternal great-grandparents, Jose Tomas and Teodosia Marquez. Nathan is survived by his loving sons, Santiago and Ojito Garcia; mother, Elizabeth Garcia; sister, Julie Lawrence (Shaun); grandmother, Amelia Trujillo; maternal aunts, Josie, Cecilia (Ken), Angela (Peter), Caroline (Cipie), Rosalie (Marcos); paternal uncle, Guadalupe (Laura); niece, Mia; God-parents, Leonard and Mary Vigil; special friend who was like a brother, T.J. Madrid and numerous relatives and friends. Public visitation will begin on Friday, December 7, 2018 at 5:00 p.m. at San Juan de Nepomuceno Catholic Church in El Rito with a rosary to be recited at 6:00 p.m. A memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, December 8, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. also at San Juan de Nepomuceno Catholic Church in El Rito with burial to follow at the El Rito Community Cemetery. The family of Nathan Joseph Garcia has entrusted the care of their loved one to the DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
