Mrs. Dolores (Dolly) Anna Maria Montaño-LaFlamme of Los Alamos NM, passed away on Sunday, November 1, 2020, at the young age of 70.
Dolly was born to parents Margaret and Ralph Montaño on May 23, 1950, in Leadville, CO. She grew up as the 2nd eldest of five. She attended Los Alamos High School and the University of New Mexico. She worked for Los Alamos National Laboratory, married twice, lived life to the fullest, and was a truly unique individual who loved living in New Mexico near her beloved Jemez Mountains.
She is survived by her two daughters, Taña Montaño-Lee, and Tuhy Mills, and five grandchildren. Her Brother Joe Trujillo and sisters, Frances Wood and Clara Montano. She is preceded in death by her husband, Ed LaFlamme; her Brother Lonny, her parents, Ralph and Margaret.
The cremation has already taken place. And due to covid restrictions, all memorial services have been postponed. Friends and family, please be patient. When we can safely gather, we will announce an outdoor memorial service. We hope to schedule something around her birthday in May 2021.
Mother, you were just a girl, So many years ago.
You had your loves and had your dreams; you watched us come and go.
You watched us make the same mistakes, That you had made before,
But that just made you more proud, And love us all the more.
We haven’t always thought about the things that you have seen.
To us, you’ve just been ‘Mother’, No thought of who you’ve been.
There is no pain; you suffer no more. The fear is all gone
We now put these things out of our thoughts
Remember not your fight for breath, and We Remember not the strife
We will not dwell upon your death, But celebrate your life
But we remember now in love, Your life from start to end,
And we’re just glad we knew you, As Mother, and as Friend.
The family is grateful for the condolences but declines flowers and donations.
