Michael Chacon

Michael L. Chacon - Born October 21, 1953 passed away with his daughters by his side on June 12, 2021. He is preceded in death by his father the late New Mexico State Senator, Matias L. Chacon, his mother Teresa R. Chacon, brothers Matthew Chacon and Donald Chacon, as well as his sister Bernadette Chacon-Nelson. His is survived by his two daughters Michelle Chacon and Chanelle Chacon and fiance Darren, three grandchildren Gabriel, Faith and Amiyah, brother Ronald Chacon and wife Francisca, brother in law Gary Nelson, nephew Israel Chacon, two nieces, Christina Chacon and Rogie Chacon, as well as many great nieces and nephews and extended family. Michael absolutely adored his grandchildren. His favorite thing to do was sing to them the little songs he made up and had once sung to his own daughters. He had such a love for music and the outdoors. Michael always looked at life with a positive mindset and encouraged everyone around him to do so as well. A private family viewing will take place on Friday June 18th at the Sangre De Cristo Chapel of Devargas Funeral Home at 11am with a service to follow at 12pm. The family would like to extend the biggest thanks to Devargas Funeral Home for handling the care of their loved one at this difficult time.
