Obituary

Michael Anthony Montoya, 40, of Sombrillo, NM, passed away on May 19, 2022.

He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents; Mariano and Inez Garcia, paternal grandparents; Ramon and Frances Montoya. Sister Denise Montoya, half-sister Tina Marie Garcia, nephew Andrew Herrera, and the love of his life Elvira Rosalea Enriques.

Michael was passionate about his work especially with being self-employed. He was a single father, and his greatest joy was raising his incredible daughter Destiny. One of his favorite past times was playing video games, especially Fortnight.

He is survived by his mother; Chirstella Marie Garcia, father; Michael Alfonso Montoya, daughter; Destiney Nevaeh Montoya, nephew; Nathan Tapia, aunts; Veronica Garcia, Bernadine Garcia (Ivan), and Sandra Garcia, uncles; Fermin Garcia (Joanne), and Mark Garcia. As well as many loving family and friends.

Internment took place on May 31, 2022 at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Cemetery in Nambe. Mass of the Resurrection will take place on Saturday, June 11, 2022 at 12:30 pm at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Nambe.
