Mary Medina

Mary Erlin Medina passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at her home in Chimayo at the age of 91 on December 30, 2020. She was called by our heavenly Father to join and be welcomed by her sons Abran, Paul Harold and Tommy, grand daughter Tammie and daughter-in-law Annabelle Medina.

She is survived by her husband of 74 years, Paul Medina, children Georgia Romero (Henry) of Santa Fe, Olivia Trujillo (Roy) of Jacona and Janet Rodriguez (Carlos) of San Pedro, grandchildren Reena Romero, Regina Romero (Daniel Quintana), Monica Trujillo, Daniel Trujillo, Paula Medina, Reylynn Medina, Reyna Medina, Joaquin (Alexandra) Rodriguez, Justina Rodriguez, great grandchildren Roxanne Romero, Robert Romero, Bruce Romero (Sabrinna), Rayette Quintana (Manuel), Miranda Trujillo, Brandy Garcia, Damian Gallegos, Ryan Trujillo, Rocky Trujillo, Rheyssa Trujillo, Ava Rodriguez, great-great grandchildren Antavion Romero, Inessa Romero, and sisters Betty Otis and LaFay Roman, sister-in-law Edith Trujillo and many other relatives and friends.

Mary loved being creative and was an accomplished artist which included ceramics, weaving, tin work, wood carving,  painting, beading jewelry, floral making, crocheting, sewing, you name it, she could create it. For over 25 years Mary enjoyed socializing with her many friends while participating in activities, and being an active member of  the Benny Chavez Chimayo Senior Center.

Services will be Saturday, January 9, 2020 at Holy Family Church in Chimayo at 10:30am.  A rosary will be held and a mass will follow.  Please note that all COVID restrictions will be observed.The Family of Mary Medina has entrusted the care of their loved one to the DeVargas Funeral Home and Crematory of the Espanola Valley 5057477477 www.devargasfuneral.com
