Kenneth Perraglio

On July 11, 2020 we lost our beloved father, KENNETH A. PERRAGLIO , who passed peacefully in his sleep and went to be with our beloved mother, his wife of 52 years. Ken was born to Phillip Perraglio Sr. and Maria Matilda Cruz Perraglio on August 3, 1937 in Salida, Colorado.  The family moved to Pojoaque where he was raised and made many friends who he spoke of often.  Kenneth met Patricia Martin in 1958 and married her August 15, 1959.  They were blessed with 3 children, Randy, Tracy and Darby. Kenneth was preceded in death by both his parents; his wife, Patricia J. Perraglio; his sisters, Elizabeth Pollan, and Charlotte Viola Williams; brothers, Phillip Perraglio Jr. and Ronald Perraglio Sr.; nieces, Davina Perraglio and Denise Perraglio; and nephew, Christian Pollan. Ken was generous beyond words, always helping anyone in need, dropping what he was doing day or night to help.  He knew how to fix anything; he taught all his kids how to fix everything. He was a US Marine, he worked for Zia Company in Los Alamos before he worked for the County of Los Alamos as a Roads and Streets Manager. He was very proud of the work he did over the years and often spoke of his adventures working in Los Alamos. He made so many friends in the valley all of whom he treasured and spoke of often.  When he retired, he spent his mornings drinking coffee with his buddies at the local Dandy Burger. In his final days he spent most of his time at home with loved ones. He is survived by his children, Randy Perraglio and wife Linda, Tracy Perraglio and wife Lisa, Darby Martinez and husband Jerry. His remaining brother, Roger Perraglio and wife Gerris; sisters-in-law, Tillie Perraglio and Martha Perraglio, and brother-in-law, Hans Pollan.  He is also survived by his grandchildren, Nathan Martinez (Sharon), Amy Lynn Perraglio, Timothy Martinez (Lesley), Shawn Perraglio (Amelia), Vincent Perraglio (Jeric), Jessica Martinez (Robert), Ariel Perraglio (Greg), Joshua Martinez (Crystal), Adelina Perraglio (Tanner), Brandon Perraglio (Spencer); great-grandchildren, Makayla Herrera and Jamesen Naranjo, loved like his own grandchildren, Armando, Crucito, Esperanza, Makayla, Kira, and Kiah and many nieces, nephews and loved ones. A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 17, 2020 at 10:30 a.m. at the First Baptist Church on La Joya street. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, masks are mandatory and a limit of 70 people are permitted inside the building. Burial services will be private. Serving as pallbearers will be his grandsons. The family of Kenneth A. Perraglio has entrusted the care of their loved one to DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Espanola Valley.
