Kenneth Larkin Sr.

KENNETH LEE LARKIN, SR., 66 a resident of Alcalde, passed away on September 16, 2020 at his home surrounded by his family and close friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lewis and Orthella Larkin; brothers, Richard C. Larkin and Roger Larkin. Kenneth was born January 6, 1954 in Prineville, Oregon. He had many careers throughout his lifetime; the closest one to his heart was auto mechanics. He loved ranching and was an avid fisherman and outdoorsman. Mr. Larkin is survived by his son, Kenneth L. Larkin, Jr. (Genoveva P. Garcia); grandchildren, Alexis, Matthew and Hannah; sister-in-law, Annette Larkin; nieces, Nicole Salazar (Richie) and CarrieAnn; nephews, James Larkin (Latisha), Kermin and Daniel; sister, Jodi; close family friends, Finnie D. and Theresa Garcia, Daniel Garcia, Peter J. Garcia, Sr. (Allison), Peter Jr., Mario and Antonio Garcia and Ike Gallegos; caretakers, Julie Hernandez and Denise Trujillo and numerous other relatives and friends. A rosary will be held on Friday, September 25, 2020 at 12:30 p.m., with  Memorial mass to follow at 1:00 p.m. at Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish in Espanola. Private family disposition of remains will be held at a later date. The family would like to thank Compassus Hospice, Christus St. Vincent Regional Cancer Center and XRANM of Santa Fe for their support and services. The family of Kenneth Lee Larkin has entrusted their loved one to DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
