Joseph Martinez

Joseph F. Martinez, 66, a resident of Española, NM, went to be with his Heavenly Father on Saturday, August 6, 2022. Joseph was born on December 27, 1955, in Española. He was preceded in death by father Roman Martinez, mother, Mary E. Martinez, and brother Billy Martinez.

Joseph worked various jobs throughout his life and career. For many years, he worked in sales at a hardware store. He had a passion for working on cars. In addition, he enjoyed being around all his loved ones and always lending a helping hand.

Joseph lived life full of love, smiles, and laughs. He will be dearly missed. Joseph is survived by his wife Sharon Martinez, daughter Maria V. Martinez (Yvonne) of Albuquerque, daughter Heather Martinez (Phillip) of Española, grandchildren Deja, Shanti, and Josiah Valdez, sisters Romie Crespin and Berlinda Ortiz, and brothers Max, Paul, and Larry Martinez.

A rosary will be held on Tuesday August 16, 2022, at 12:00 p.m. followed by a mass of Christian burial at 12:30 p.m. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Espanola with burial to follow at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Cemetery.

The following will be serving as pallbearers: Phillip Valdez, Josiah Valdez, Ruben Maez, Dale Ortiz, Julie Dominguez, and Adrianna Nuñez.
