John Hall

JOHN RICHARD HALL , 66, a resident of Santa Fe, finished his race and went home to meet his Savior on August 1, 2020.  He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Eva Hall; father-in-law, Jacobo Montoya; mother-in-law, O’delia Montoya; brothers-in-law, Harvey Fernandez, Tony Zamora, Juan Romero, Moses Montoya and Joe Segovia; and sister-in-law, Becky Segovia.

John had a lifelong career in bus driving, and retired from Santa Fe Trail Bus System.

He was passionate about his love and relationship with Jesus Christ his Lord.  He was an amazing husband to the love of his life for 48 years. He enjoyed spending endless time with his children and grandchildren. John truly was the best example of what a Man of God should like and be. He was the best husband, father, papos, and friend that anyone could ask for. He also enjoyed biking and riding his motorcycle. John was part of many praise and worship teams over the years. He was always willing to be used by God in any way possible.

Mr. Hall is survived by his wife of 48 years, Peggy Hall; daughter, Rachel Martinez (Elvin); sons, Pastor John Hall (Desiree) and Daniel Hall (Claudia); grandchildren, John, Zechariah, Hezekiah, Israel and Penny Hall, Sarah and Angel Martinez, and Samara Avitia; brother-in-law, Gene Montoya; sisters-in-law; Helen Zamora, Adelaida Ortiz, Epimenia Sanchez (Joe), Georgina Romero and many nieces and nephews.

He is gone, but not forgotten.  God has you in his keeping and we have you in our hearts.  We all know that you are in Heaven right now, and walking with Jesus on the streets paved with gold. The One that you talked and sang about all these years is now holding you for all eternity. You have finished your race and now Heaven is your reward.  We will walk in the ways of God and always keep God in the center of everything we do, just like you wanted us to.

Public visitation will begin Friday, August 7, 2020 from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory with a memorial service to follow at 6:00 p.m. at Victory Faith Church. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 8, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. also at Victory Faith Church. Committal service to follow at the Loma Vista Cemetery in Alcalde. Honorary pallbearers will be; Michael Fernandez, Elvin, Sarah and Angel Martinez, John, Zechariah, Hezekiah, Israel Hall and Samara Avitia. Special thanks to all who prayed, cared, and gave to the Hall family. The family of John Richard Hall has entrusted the care of their loved one to the DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
