It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Joel Duran (Uncle Jelly) on Sunday December 26, 2021 of natural Causes

Joel was a resident of Hernandez, and formally of El Rancho.  Joel was preceded in death by his parents Fermin Pete and Lillian Duran. Brothers Pete and Amos Duran. Special Nephew Jacob Jake Duran and Jacob Jr and Andrew and Alex Christopher Sisneros. Preceded in death by his grandparents whom he loved dearly,

Joel was one of the kindest and loving person that would do anything for anyone. He made friends and had friends everywhere he went. Anyone who was fortunate to have been part of his life knew how much he loved his dog Samantha, they would go cursing on Roxy all the time and feeding and birthing the animals. He also loved his Goats, chickens, rabbits and his famous cow.  He loved making a garden and sharing his produce with everyone, He loved and looked forward to spend time with his special buddy Isaiah (Zaya Boy) those were the best day ever for him. He loved to fish, hunt and go rock hunting when he was able.  His love for the Lord was so sincere and his faith was extraordinary.

Joel is survived by his partner in Crime his fur baby Samantha.  He is also survived by his best friend, love and partner in crime of 21 years Audrey Chata Sisneros, he is survived by his special Nephews Isaiah Duran and Elijah Romero whom he loved dearly, special Niece Teresa Jacobs (Jeff), Step Daughters Moraya Gutierrez (Jeremy) and Tovan Martinez, 4 grandchildren Also survived by many other nieces and nephews,.  Special in laws as he called them Alex and Juanita Sisneros, he is also survived by numerous friends and relatives.

A public visitation will begin on Thursday January 20th at 6:00pm at Victory Faith Church in Espanola with a Devotional to follow. The funeral will be held on Friday January 21st at 11:00am at Victory Faith Church with the burial to follow at the El Ranch Cemetery.

Serving the family as pallbearers are Austin Martinez, Louie Moya, Elmer Sanchez, Hugo Munoz, Jeff Jacobs, Anthony Garcia, Alex Sisneros Jr, and Juanito Ortega
