Jason C. Simmons, 42, of Alcalde passed away July 21, 2022. Born in Albuquerque March 28, 1980, he attended Espanola Valley High School and Northern New Mexico College.

Jason is preceded in death by his beloved maternal grandmother Nancy Springfield, his cousin Greg Bogdan, Jr. and his cousin Kristopher Kirkland.

Jason is survived by his mother, Donna Simmons, sisters Ramona Bejarano (Arnoldo) of Los Alamos and Dakota Simmons of Alcalde, as well as his nieces and nephews, Annaiysiya, Joselyn, Jaden, Jacquelyn, and Ayden; Great Aunt Brenda Bogdan, uncle Daniel (Dusty) Cornelius, aunt LoRee Springfield, uncle Joe (Eileen) Springfield, uncle Cody (Crystal) Springfield and numerous relatives and friends.

Jason was a kind and giving person from a young age who was loved by many and will be greatly missed. He loved camping, cooking and spending time in the mountains.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 20, 2022 at DeVargas Funeral Home, 623 N. Railroad Avenue, Espanola, with lunch to follow at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Arroyo Seco.
