Jake Fresques

JAKE E. FRESQUES, 78,  a lifelong resident of Cuartelez, NM passed away peacefully on May 4, 2020. Jake was born on May 17, 1941 to Conce and Porfiria Fresquez. He graduated from Santa Cruz High School, class of 1960.  He was a Veteran of the United States Air Force between 1963 – 1967. He was employed by the Los Alamos National Lab and retired in 1997. Jake had a friendly, outgoing personality and had the ability to strike up a conversation with anyone. He enjoyed spending time with his family. He will be deeply missed by all those that knew him. He is preceded in death by his parents, Conce and Porfiria Fresquez; brother, David, infant son Michael; Father and Mother-in-Law, Sabino and Maria Gonzales, brother-in-law, Sam Gonzales, brother-in-law, Ernest Gonzales, and sister-in-law Lucy Fresques. He is survived by his spouse of 50 years, Gloria Fresques; children Mark Fresques, Sandra Apodaca (Jesse), Jacob Fresques (Jessica), and Angela Fresques. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Mario, Joseph, Dominic, LeeAndra, Jirina, Jacob Jr., and Sean. His siblings, Robert Fresques, Conce Fresquez (Shirley), Therisa Ortiz (Wray), Benny Fresquez (Arlene), Cyndee Fresquez and Julie Fresquez, special friends, Richard and Mona Ramirez and Family. A Rosary will be recited on Friday October 23, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at St Anns Catholic Church in Santa Fe N.M with a Memorial mass to follow at 11:00 a.m. A private internment will be held at the Santa Fe National Cemetery.  The family of Jake E.
