Gloria Garcia

Gloria E. Garcia, 94 was born on May 26, 1927, born in Polvadera New Mexico. A resident of Coyote, NM. She was blessed to be the only girl in a family of 6 brothers. Gloria made her journey to her Heavenly home on Friday, January 7, 2022.

Gloria was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, and great-great grandmother to many.

Gloria was preceded in death by her parents Esequiel and Ambrosia Ortega, her brothers George, Leopoldo, Emilio, Esequiel, Ubaldo, a special brother Severo and her son Ubaldo Trujillo. Preceded in death by husband Ernesto Trujillo, survived by son’s and daughter’s; Olivia (David), Stella (Joe), Ambrosia (Keith), Ernesto (Darlene), Gabriel (Rosie), Doris (David). Preceded in death by her husband Felix Garcia, survived by her sons, Felix (Vickie) and Floyd (Evelyn)and 2 stepson’s Presciliano (Fabiola) and Gilbert Garcia.  Grandchildren that she helped raise, Adam Garcia, Alejandra Garcia, and Michelle Trujillo. 29 grandchildren, 62 great grandchildren, 16 great-great grandchildren. She will be missed by all those whose lives she touched.

Gloria was a homemaker and worked as a foster grandparent with Jemez Mountain Schools for many years. She was a devout Christian woman that raised 9 children, she loved reading her bible and attending church until she was unable to attend due to health reasons. Gloria’s hobbies were growing and canning fruits and vegetables, crocheting, ceramics, baking and cooking for her kids and grandkids. She was surrounded by all who loved and cared for her, she will be greatly missed, and her legacy will live on through her children.

A funeral service will take place on Tuesday February 8, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at the Templo Getsemani in Coyote (Salitra) and burial will follow at the Coyote Catholic Cemetery with the following serving as Pallbearers, Michael Trujillo, Ernesto Trujillo Jr., Randy Jacquez, Adam Garcia, Jody Gonzales, Duane and Joel Jacquez and David Lujan Jr.

The family would like to say a special Thank you to Audrey Mauldin, Alejandra Garcia and Olivia Velasquez for providing loving care to our mother and grandmother Gloria in her final days.
