Gerard Dominic Lujan, 63, of San Pedro, was called unexpectedly to be home with the Lord on June 1, 2022. He was born on March 29, 1959 to Orlando and Josephine Lujan and had 6 siblings, 4 brothers and 2 sisters. He was preceded in death by parents Orlando and Josephine Lujan ; sister Cecilia Lujan ;brother Adrian Lujan; brother Mark Lujan ; paternal grandparents Juan Benito and Antonia Lujan; and maternal grandparents Roque and Aurelia Martinez.

He will be missed by his only child Evangeline Lujan-Vigil, son in law Eric Vigil; only grandson Jamal Lujan; only granddaughter Kianna Vigil; his sister Therese and brother in law Adam Chacon; brother Manuel Lujan; brother Martin Lujan; nephew Xavier(Trina) Lujan; nephew Stephen (Joronda) Abeyta; nephew Reynaldo Lujan; nephew Adam Phillips; niece Candice Romero; nephew Nicholas( Elisa) Maestas; niece Lynette Maestas; niece Desirae Lujan and numerous other relatives and friends.

Gerard was a very hard working man who would help a friend in need, all you had to do was ask and he would gladly be there. He was a jack of all trades, he could do many things, whether it be working on cars, construction, being at the ranch, landscaping you name it he could do it. He helped his son in law and grandson with countless projects. He was very laid back, and would go with the flow. He had a heart of gold and would give the shirt off his back. He was a big kid at heart and always was joking around. Gerard had a tremendous love for his children and grandchildren. He made many friends throughout the years he helped and considered family. He made sure to call often to see how his loved ones were doing. He loved his dogs Lobo, Stormy, and Bonita. His genuine soul and infectious laugh will never be forgotten from all who loved and knew him. He will be sadly missed and will always hold a place in our hearts. Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, July 7th, 2022 at 3:00p.m. at New Creation In Christ Ministries in Española. The family of Gerard Lujan has entrusted the care of their loved one to the DeVargas Funeral Home and Crematory of the Espanola Valley.
