Filimon Vigil 93, a resident of Ranchitos formally of Chamita passed away on November 19, 2021.
Filimon was preceded in death by his wife of 69 years Ramona Vigil; parents, Antonio Vigil and Maria de la Luz Romero; brothers, Mel Vigil, Joe D. Vigil and George Romero; sister, Lydia Martinez; Parents in law, Emilio and Adela Gonzales; son in law Freddie Tapia; grandsons, Christopher Tapia and Eric Vigil; granddaughter Renee Vigil
Filimon was a loving father, grandfather, relative and friend. He was known as a hardworking man, who accomplished many things, even being a college instructor. He was member of the trilingual choir in San Juan the Baptist church in Ohkay Owingeh. Filimon and his wife Ramona traveled around the state to do many wedding marchas.
Filimon is survived by his children; Richard Vigil (Margarita), Clyde Vigil (Guadalupe), Filimon Vigil Jr. (JoAnn), Evelyn Barnhart (Dean), Leonard Vigil (Angela), Darlene Parker (Kurt), Julie Marquez; sisters in law Dolores Martinez, and Mary Lou Romero, 24 Grandchildren, 42 Great Grandchildren and 13, great-great grandchildren; daughters in law MaryAnn and Pearl Vigil
A public visitation will take place on November 29, 2021 at San Juan the Baptist church in Ohkay Owingeh at 6:00 p.m. with a rosary to follow at 7:00 p.m at San Juan the Baptist church in Ohkay Owingeh, a mass of Christian burial to be on November 30, 2021 at 10:30 am also at the San Juan the Baptist Church in Ohkay Owingeh with a burial to follow at the San Raphael de El Guique Cemetery. Serving the family as Pallbearers are Tony Atencio, Alex Martinez, Dean Barnhart, David Boyce, Juan Marquez, Antonio Roybal, Noe Quezada and Leroy Rodriguez
