Eric Martinez Jr.

Eric Napoleon Martinez, Jr. – Age 37 a resident of Chimayo, passed away on Saturday, June 12, 2021.  He was preceded in death by his maternal great grandparents: Francisco and Gregoria Marquez and Antonio and Louisa Sanchez; paternal grandparents, Ascencion Y. and Seferina Martinez; aunt Corina Martinez, brother, Joseph Anthony Martinez and many other relatives.  Eric Jr., most known to his family as “Ericie”, the name his younger brother Joseph gave him and which only his family could use.  He loved hunting, fishing and camping with his father, brother, family and friends.  He had a big heart who did anything for anybody and made many friends anywhere he went, who loved him dearly.  He was greatly loved and will be missed by all who knew him.  He is survived by his mother, Stephanie Martinez and companion Adam Cata; father, Eric Martinez, Sr. and wife Diane, step-mom to Eric, sister, Deidra Martinez; cousins considered like sisters: Athena and Autumn Marquez; maternal grandmother, Mabel Marquez; maternal grandfather, Leopoldo Marquez and companion Dorothy Serna; Godparents: Aunt Evelyn Chavez (Joseph) and Uncle Leo Marquez, uncles: Noel Martinez, Gilbert Martinez (Dorothy), Ascencion Martinez, Jr. (Roberta), Rosendo Martinez; Toby Martinez (Audrey); aunts: Helen Trujillo (Julian), Dalila Archuleta (Pete), Margie Martinez, Grace Martinez and Connie Joseph; and numerous loving cousins and other relatives and friends.
