Epemenio Ulibarri

Epemenio Ulibarri, 83, of Tierra Amarilla, New Mexico, passed away peacefully in his sleep on the early morning of June 22, 2020. Epemenio was born in Las Nutrias, New Mexico on June 26,1936 to Victoriana Ulibarri and Manuel Antonio Martinez.

Epemenio was proceeded in death by his mother Victoriana, his father Manuel Antonio & his father’s wife Avenisia, Four brothers Jose Leon Ulibarri (Ramona), Everardo Ulibarri (Stella), Leroy Martinez, and Gilbert Martinez. Two Nephews Chris Casias and Anthony Martinez, and niece Amanda Martinez.

He is Survived by his wife Julia Ulibarri of 56 years, children Pauline (Matthew), Vicky (Dennis), Orlando (Aimee), Annie Garcia (Jeff). Seven grandchildren Matty Martinez, Bo Martinez, David Zentz, Desiree Zentz, Gilbert Ulibarri, Andres Ulibarri, Alfredo Martinez & 15 great-grandchildren, three sisters Stella Garcia (Gene), Baudelia (Vicente), and Henrietta Martinez, and several nieces and nephews.

He was raised by his grandparents Jose Leon & Juanita Ulibarri, and Aunt Peregrina Ulibarri, he was raised together with his cousins, Rosendo Serrano, Stella, Delfin, Armando, Eddie, Marcello, Ramos, Orlando, and Gilbert Ulibarri.

A rosary will held on Friday, June 26, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at the San Jose Catholic Church in Los Ojos, with a mass of Christian burial to follow at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be held at the Las Nutrias Cemetery. Serving the family as pallbearers, Andres Ulibarri, Matthew Martinez, Alfredo Martinez, David Zentz, Bo Martinez, and Gilbert Ulibarri. Honorary pallbearers will be Michael Ulibarri, Gene Garcia, Armando Ulibarri, Marcello Ulibarri, Robert Martinez, Luis Martinez, Salvador Samora, and Michael Garcia.
