Edith Rodriguez

Edith Joan Rodriguez , 85, of Chamisal passed away on Saturday, January 25, 2020. She was born on August 18, 1934 in Rio Lucio to Tomas and Maria Vivianita Roybal. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Alice Medina and Beda Pacheco; brothers, Joe Roybal, William Roybal and Thomas Roybal, Jr. (Jumbe). She is survived by her husband, Eloy Rodriguez of Chamisal; children, Geronimo and wife Gloria Jean of Tucson, AZ, Diane Romero and husband Epifanio, Raymond and wife Doris all of Llano de San Juan, Catherine Fresquez and husband Lawrence, Josefa Rodriguez and husband Johnny Griego, Valerie Rodriguez, all of Ojito, and Melanie Rodriguez and Max Garcia of Chamisal; sisters Rosie Ryan and husband Ron of Las Vegas, NV, Eliza Martinez of Chamisal and Vivian Borrego and husband Andrew of Peoria, AZ; brothers, Roy Roybal and wife Helen of Penasco and George Roybal and wife Grace of Albuquerque; 15 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends. Public visitation will begin on Wednesday, January 29, 2020 at 6:00 p.m. at the St. Anthony’s Church in Peñasco with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial to be celebrated on Thursday, January 30, 2020 at 9:30 a.m. also at the St. Anthony’s Church in Peñasco. Burial to follow at 2:15 p.m. at the Santa Fe National Cemetery. The family of Edith Joan Rodriguez has entrusted their loved one to DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
