“A LEGEND HAS PASSED”

Donald L. Gallegos Sr., age 86, passed away on Tuesday, September 17, 2019 at his home in Chama, NM.

He was “A SIMPLE MAN” who lived a “SIMPLE LIFE”.

Donald was an honorable man, respected man, and a religious man who accepted God’s word and His will.

He lived a full life with happiness and hard work. He was a compassionate and loving husband, father and grandfather. He loved the company of his friends and family and how he captured their attention with his stories, which made him a “storyteller” and a good one at that.

We will all miss his witty charm and warm presence on this earth.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 12, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Chama.

To honor Donald and respect his wishes there will be no public reception and no Burial. Friends and family are welcome to the home of Donald and Mary Gallegos to visit and have coffee with the family after mass.

Donald has requested that in lieu of flowers or any contributions be made to St. Patrick Catholic Church Building fund. The family wishes to thank their friends neighbors and family for all their kindness and prayers during Donald’s final days.
