Dolores Ulibarri-Taylor

Dolores “Dee” Ulibarri-Taylor, 53 , originally from La Puebla currently from Booneville, Mississippi passed away on Wednesday, July 29, 2020, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo after a brief illness. She was born on August 21, 1967 to Leopoldo Ulibarri and Cordelia Martinez.

She was preceded in death by her parents Leopoldo and Cordelia Ulibarri; maternal grandparents Escolastico and Dolores Martinez; paternal grandmother Ascension Ulibarri; plus loving uncles, aunts and cousins.

Dolores was a loving wife, mother, sister, daughter, aunt, niece, cousin and friend.  She was a woman of faith who was devoted to her catholic religion that was instilled in her since she was young.  She loved being with family and friends any chance she had she would give a casual text or call to see how you were doing.  She loved coming back home on her annual visits to Española to visit her family, touching base to see what everyone was up to she always made it a point to fit in a visit with all her family.  She had a passion for gardening growing beautiful flowers and plants that she was so proud of taking pictures of them and sharing them with her family.  Dolores will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her husband, Harold; son, Justin Ulibarri of Booneville; daughter, Bryanna Ulibarri of Booneville; two step-daughters, Tiffany Starling (Scott) and Ashley Williams (Clint) both of Booneville; sister, Gloria Ulibarri of La Puebla ; three grandsons, Austin Williams; Jamison Williams and Gabe Starling; two granddaughters; Harlee Starling and Sarah Starling; two nephews, Andrew Ulibarri of La Puebla and companion Angelica and Julian Martinez of La Puebla; niece Meranda Borrego of La Puebla and companion Lorenzo; aunts Marcella Martinez of La Puebla, Betty Reed of Pagosa Springs, CO; Navora Martinez of Bloomfield N.M. and Shirley Martinez of Chama; uncle and Godfather Richard Martinez (Evelyn) of La Puebla; plus many loving cousins, relatives, family and friends.

Funeral service was held on Monday, August 3, 2020, at Booneville Funeral Home with Father Mario Sorozano and Bro. Don Green officiating. Burial took place at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.  Serving the family as pallbearers will be Corey Taylor, Jeff Taylor, Scott Starling, Andrew Ulibarri, Julian Martinez, and Gabe Starling.  Booneville Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral home.
