David Martinez, 54, of Chimayo passed away May 30, 2021, surrounded by his loved ones.
His interests included music, writing poetry, road trips, good eats and spending time with his friends and family. He especially loved attending Sunday services at Victory Faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents Erminio and Faby Martinez; and niece, Monica Salinas.
David is survived by his sister, Roberta and her husband Joseph Vigil of Chili; by his sister Kathy and husband Phillip Gonzales Sr. of Hernandez; niece, Amanda Salinas and fiance Angelo Sandoval of Cordova, nephews, Albino Salinas V of Chimayo and Raymond Salinas of Aurora, CO; niece Mariah Gonzales-Zapata and companion Jesus Manuel Zapata of Española; nephew Shaun Gonzales and companion Kristina LaRae as well as daughter Cecilia of Chimayo; nephew Phillip Gonzales Jr. and wife Kimberly as well as children Phillip III, Faith and Hope of Iowa, nephews and nieces, Paul Frenier, Alexis Vigil, Esperanza Sandoval, Caleb Gonzales, Isabella Sandoval, Jesus Zapata Jr., Villaney Zapata, Eliza Zapata and Armando Zapata, Erykah Vigil; cousins like brothers, JD Miera and his wife Geneva of El LLano, Steve Miera and his wife Charlene of Cordova; aunts and uncles, Cedelia Miera of El Llano, Adonise and Grace Archuleta of Los Lunas, and Henio Romero of Albuquerque as well as numerous other relatives and friends.
Devotional service will be held on Sunday, June 6, 2021 at 7:00 p.m. Victory Faith Church in Espanola. Funeral Service will be held on Monday, June 7, 2021 at at 10:00 a.m. also at Victory Faith Church, with a burial to follow at Loma Vista Cemetery in Alcalde.
