Cheryl Anne Daniel (Youngblood), 65, a resident of Chile, N.M., was born December 30, 1953, and passed away in her sleep on Thursday, November 21, 2019. She was preceded in death by her parents, Janet and Russell Youngblood, as well as two sons, Aaron and Scott Daniel. With the exception of a few brief periods, Cheryl was a lifelong resident of the Espanola Valley and was a familiar and friendly face to many, having spent most of her working years in the service industry. Fiercely loyal to family and friends, Cheryl also had a soft heart for animals and those who were down on their luck. Her generous spirit provided emotional support to many who needed it (even if they didn’t know it at the time). She loved home, family and friends.
She is survived by her loving husband, Gerard M. Daniel; son, John Daniel (and Athena); brother, Wayne Youngblood (and Dorothy); five grandchildren and one great-grandchild. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, December 10, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory, with a small family gathering afterward for a release of ashes. The family of Cheryl Anne Daniel (Youngblood) has entrusted the care of their loved one to the DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Espanola Valley. 505-747-7477-www.devargasfuneral.com
