Ceria Ocana

Ceria Ocaña, 83, a resident of El Rito, New Mexico, passed away peacefully on Sunday December 4, 2016 at the Presbyterian hospital in Albuquerque surrounded by all her loved ones. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Christobal Ocaña; parents, Enriques and Tonita Lucero; sisters, Emma, Mary and Laura, brother, Arturo Lucero all of Sanford Colorado. Ceria is survived by her 5 daughters, Kathy Garcia and companion, Chris from Espanola, Berlinda Valdez and husband Ernesto from Petaca, Veronica Alire and husband Arturo, Christine Meza, Tonita Gutierrez who care for her and husband Fidencio Gutierrez all from El Rito, sons, Donald Ocaña from Albuquerque, Chris Ocaña and wife Dina, Henry Ocaña and wife Beatrice from El Rito, Joe Ocaña and companion Joseph from Albuquerque; a special grandson who was raised like a son by her Anthony Ocaña from El Rito and two very special granddaughters who were always at her side for everything Estrella Gutierrez and Crystal Padilla, 21 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren; sister and brother, Reyes Fernandez and Ernest Lucero and wife Dorothy of Utah; brothers-in-law, Eutimo Ocaña and wife Mary, Lizandro Ocaña and wife Mabel both of El Rito and many nephews and nieces and other relatives. A rosary will be recited on Friday, December 9, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. at San Juan Nepomuceno Catholic Church in El Rito. Memorial mass will be held on Saturday, December 10, 2016 at 9:00 a.m. also at San Juan Nepomuceno Catholic Church, with all her grandsons serving as pallbears, honorary pallbearers will be all her granddaughters.
