BARBIE JOANN LOPEZ, a resident of Velarde passed away on Thursday, July 22, 2021. Barbie Joann Lopez was born to Eloy & Patricia Lopez on December 4, 1981. Barbie was raised in Minturn, Colorado, was proud of her hometown. Barbie enjoyed the company of her fur babies, loved camping loved candy & the Broncos. Barbie was preceded in death by her dad Eloy Lopez, sister Christine Lopez, Grandpo Pat Valdez, Grandma Lola Lopez, Great Grandma Connie Valdez, special Aunt Shirley Lucero, Nino Jerry Lopez, Cousins Leroy Lopez & William Darnell & her Koda. She is survived by her partner Adrian Martinez, stepdaughters Carlene, Cierra &  Oliva & step granddaughter Adelia.  Her Mom Patricia Lopez,  Brother Dwayne & Sonya (Barbie’s BFF) Valdez, Goddaughters’ Mika Valdez, Tiffany Valdez, Honorary Godson Phillip Valdez, Godson Anthony Martinez. Grandma Eva Valdez Great grandma Nestorita Montoya; uncle Dennis & Aunt Frances Valdez & Aunt Flo & Uncle Michael Borrego, Uncle Arthur Valdez (Rayna) Aunt Bella & Uncle Bill Darnell, Aunt Lorraine Lopez, Aunt Sandra Lopez, Nina Stephanie Lopez, & Nina Teresa Montoya & all her fur babies (Wedo Ke-9 & Stealer) & numerous cousins & friends who she loved dearly. A memorial service will take place Saturday, August 7th at 6pm in the Sangre De Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory in Espanola, New Mexico. Burial will take place in Colorado at a later date.
