Arturo (Zeke) DeAguero

d. January 9, 2020

We mourn the peaceful passing of, Arturo Ezekiel (Zeke) DeAguero, age 41, on January 9, 2020. His battle against disease and pain has been won as Zeke entered his eternal life in Heaven. Reunited with his grandparents, Eloy and Edith DeAguero, Benjie and Molly Arellano; uncle, Armando DeAguero and many family members and friends, and his left leg from the knee down.

Zeke will be remembered by family and friends from every walk of life. There were very few places he went that he wasn’t greeted by someone he knew. He always had a wealth of knowledge to share and a sarcastic sense of humor. If you asked him if it was snowing, He would say, “look outside.” Unfiltered, however, did not mean unloving or uncaring. He truly cared about his family and friends.

He loved his daughter, food, football, Blackjack, chess, fishing, cruising the mountains, skiing, music, 911 dispatching and awesome tattoos.

He is survived by his daughter, Alanna DeAguero; parents, Michael and Anna Arellano; sister, Celeste Arellano; brother, Javier Arellano and Donna Gonzales; Tia Patricia DeAguero, Uncle Arturo and Tia Celina DeAguero, Uncle Andres and Tia Linda DeAguero; cousins, Angelica, Armando, Enedina and Anthony, Simon, Jason and Analisa; close second cousins, Nieves, Reyna and Amanda, as well as many beloved family members and friends both near and far.

Please do an act of kindness to the less fortunate, someone in need or just to make someone’s day and offer it up in Zeke’s name. Public visitation will begin on Thursday, January 16, 2020 at 8:00 a.m. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Espanola with a rosary to follow at 9:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 10:00 a.m. Serving the family as pallbearers are Simon DeAguero, Michael Chavez, Judah Montaño, Trinidad Montaño, Antonio Mendoza, Marcos Espinoza, Jose Martinez and Sam Medina.
