Amelia Jean Salazar, a resident of Coyote passed away on September 14th, 2020 at the age of 54. She fought a long and difficult 6 year battle with Leiomyosarcoma. She fought long and hard, to her very last breath.

She is preceded in death by her youngest son, Eric Manuel Salazar. Her father and mother-in-law, Manuel and Pablita Salazar, brother-in-laws, Phil and Pablo Salazar.

She is survived by her loving husband, Manuel Salazar who stayed by her side day and night through all she endured. They never gave up on their faith or hope! Her children, Krystal Garcia (Rafael), Jacob Salazar, Sasha Salazar (Pancho Garcia), Natasha Salazar (Phillip Ochoa) and grandchildren, Dante and Dominick Garcia, Eric J. Salazar, Nivaah Ochoa, and Amelia Garcia. Her father John Comanche and sister, Camilla Comanche and many nieces and nephews whom she loved and cared for dearly!

Amelia had a beautiful heart! She welcomed everyone with open arms and cared for and loved everyone she crossed paths with. She raised MANY of her nieces and nephews as if they were her own. Many knew she would welcome them with a warm bed and delicious home cooked meal. She worked in various fields and was well known through the community for all she did. She fought for herself and for everyone she loved!

A Special Thank You to her sister-in-law, Teodora Herrera and Phyllis Salazar who checked on her and made her food. Her dear friend, Emily Martinez who called her daily and carried conversations with her and Sandy for spiritual inspiration you gave her. Thank you!
