Adam “Black” Martinez, 40, a resident of Chimayo passed away peacefully surrounded by his family and friends on Thursday, May 12, 2022. He is preceded in death by his mother Evelyn Martinez; brothers, Daniel, James, Allen Martinez; grandparents, Sigfredo and Genoveva Martinez, Jose and Celina Dominguez; uncles, Louis Martinez, Levi Trujillo, Floyd, Leroy, David, Randy Dominguez; aunts Lucille Martinez, Sandra Madrid Solis; cousins, Dennis, Earl, Andrea Trujillo.
Adam was a beloved son, father, brother, uncle, and best friend. He always had a big smile on his face and was full of excitement. Especially, during the birth of his son, Marques. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, going for wood, and playing pool with his family and friends. Adam graduated from Northern New Mexico Community College with a degree in Electrical Engineering. He was a jack of all trades, whether it be electrical work, plumbing or construction. He was involved in the community where he managed EVCA for multiple years.
Adam is survived by his father Daniel Martinez; sons, Marques Martinez, Sean Pacheco; brother, Joshua Martinez; mother of his kids, Stef Martinez-Leyba; uncles Horracio (Pricilla), Joe Martinez (Louella), Walter Trujillo; padrino, Dennis Martinez; aunts, Helen, Margie, Mary Martinez, Lorraine Dominguez (Albert), Louise Jimenez (Juan); nephews, Adam, Elijah; niece, Shania Martinez (Twyla); cousins, LeeAnn, Jose, Elisha, Angeline, Carlos, Jeremiah, Gabriel, Genevieve, Adrian, Angelica, Rey, and Kelly.
