Yvonne Serrano

Yvonne Serrano, 61 a resident of Chimayo, was born November 6, 1960. Went to be with the Lord on December 4, 2021. She is proceeded in death by her parents Seferino and Marcelina Serrano, Husband Sammy Lion Martinez, Son, Benito Serrano, Nephew Nick Martinez Jr, Siblings, Evangeline Archuleta and Seferino Serrano Jr, and sister-in-Law Thelma Montoya. Yvonne was a loving, caring, selfless beautiful soul. She loved all children, especially her God-children. Always giving them gifts for no reason at all. Daisy, Memorie, and Fabian held very special places in her heart. She Loved her poker nights, and going to the casino with all her sisters. This became a regular highlight that brought her much joy. She especially loved family camping trips, and jumped at the chance to spend any extra time with her family during regular events. Yvonne is survived by her beloved son Christopher Serrano, and her loving sisters, Ella Lujan, Jane Ortiz , Susie Alvendano and husband Manuel, Linda carnley, Annie Jaramillo, Joyce Marquez and Brother-in-Law Nick Martinez Sr, She is also survived by many other nieces’ nephews, loved ones, and friends.

A Rosary will be recited on Saturday December 18, 2021 at 9:00 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church in Chimayo with a memorial Mass to follow at 10:00 a.m.

Serving the family as pallbearers will be Austin Serrano, Eddie Serrano, Jeremy Sandoval, Benjie Martinez, Darrol Miera, and Charles Marrufo. Honorary pallbearers will be Dylan Serrano, Anthony Trujillo, Desiree Sandoval, Daisy Sandoval, Tiffany Sandoval and Adrian Lucero.
