Yosina Archuleta, a lifelong resident of Los Alamos, passed away peacefully on July 11, 2022 at the age of 99 after a brief illness. She was a loving mother and homemaker. She was a happy-go-lucky lady with a very optimistic outlook on life. She loved gardening, dancing, visiting with her grand-kids, and was a wonderful caregiver for her son James.
Yosina was proceeded in death by her loving husband Juan Archuleta, her son Jerry Archuleta, and her daughter Lori Fisher. She is survived by her son James Archuleta of Albuquerque, her son John Archuleta (Debra) of White Rock, her daughter Sally Preston (Dean) of White Rock, grandsons Daniel Preston (Annette), Mathew Preston and Kory Archuleta, a granddaughter Misha Peterson (Kris), and nine great grandchildren – Athena, Ayva, Annaka, Kash, Kiaus, Adessa, Kyro, Tanner and Kyla – whom she loved dearly.
Yosina made an impression on everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her. She will be greatly missed by many and will always be this family’s treasure.
Public visitation will be at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Los Alamos, NM on July 20, 2022 at 8:30 a.m. – 9:00 a.m. Mass will begin at 9:00 a.m. and the burial will follow at 1:30 p.m. at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
