May 14, 1953 – October 24, 2022

With sorrow in our hearts, we regret to announce that Yolanda Archuleta (69), our mother, sister, grandma, niece, aunt and friend passed away peacefully at her home on October 24, 2022. Her kindness and strength will be missed.

She was preceded in death by her loving and caring husband,  J.V. “Butch” Archuleta; her father, Fred Mares; both her maternal and paternal grandparents and her nephews, Matthew and Gabriel Mares.

She is survived by her mother, Virginia Mares; her sister, Diane Wolfzahn and her husband Ralph (sons: Joseph, Benji, Billy and Josh); her brother, Phillip Mares; her loving sister Jeanette Mares-Jones and her husband Sean Jones who she loved (son: Eugene); . Her son, Andrew Pacheco IV, his wife Margarita Pacheco and their children José and Emily.  Her daughter Eva Mathes and her sons, Bryan and Mikey. Her Auntie Dolly and Uncle Jake, her special niece Monique Jones and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Services will be held on:  Friday, November 4, 2022 at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Santa Cruz, New Mexico. Rosary at 10:00 am and the Funeral Mass and Burial to follow at 10:30 am.

Honorary Pallbearers: Phillip Mares, Sean Jones, Bryan Mathes, Mikey Mathes, Donn Lucero, Cruz Lopez, Rico Valdez and Manuel Lujan.
