Willie A. Gonzales

Willie A. Gonzales, 62, a resident of Hernandez, passed away on Wednesday, February 18, 2015 surrounded by his family. He was preceded in death by his wife Dolores Gonzales; father, Hernando Gonzales; brothers, Joel and Bobby Gonzales; grandparents, Antonio and Maria Rivera; In-laws, Carlos and Emeteria Salazar. Willie was a very kind and giving person who would rush to any ones help. He loved the outdoors. Willie liked being a simple man, his joy was being with his family and taking care of his mother. Willie was a well-known roofer by trade. Many described Willie as a kind and gentle soul. Willie is survived by his daughters, Kathy and husband Paul Trujillo, Valerie Gonzales, his son, Willie Gonzales Jr.; grandchildren, Sarah and Xtopher Trujillo, Isaiah Gonzales; mother, Grace Gonzales; brothers and sisters, Mary Agnes Jaramillo and husband Johnny, Margaret Gonzales (Tony Gallegos), Arlene Padilla (Johnny), Toby Gonzales, Casey Gonzales and wife Karen, Jose Hernando Gonzales Jr. and wife Jean, and many nephews and nieces. He had a very special friend, Lawrence Salazar who was like a brother to him. A memorial service will be held on Monday, February 23, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Valley Bible Baptist church in Arroyo Seco. The family of Willie A. Gonzales has entrusted the care of their loved one to the DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Espanola Valley.\r\n
