It is with profound sadness that I share the passing of my son, Willie Michael Sandoval who left us on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at the age of 53. Willie was born August 7, 1971, in Salt Lake City, Utah.

One of Willie’s pastimes and enjoyment was riding his 4 wheeler, the mountain top wasn’t his only destination, oftentimes he would drive his 4 wheeler into the valley of Espanola, southward from Hernandez, through highway 84-285 he drove, through the Valdez Bridge he went and finally onto Riverside Drive. You may ask if he ever got stopped on that 4 wheeler and the answer would be, yes, more than once. Willie would often assist with yard work and some farming.

Willie was preceded in death by his father Willie Sandoval, Sr.; sister Precious Sandoval and brothers Rudy and Paul Sandoval; maternal grandparents, Benito and Vickie Madrid.

Willie is survived by his mother Velma Camargo and partner Lawrence Martínez; sister Stella Camargo (Jeremy), and niece Angel Camargo and many uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.

A Public Viewing and will be at 5:00 pm, with a Memorial Service at 6:00 pm on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, at DeVargas Funeral Home in Espanola, NM.  Graveside Service will be on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at 12:00 noon at the San Jose Cemetery in Hernandez, NM.

Serving as Pallbearers are Lee Madrid, Toby Madrid, Lawrence Martinez, Chapó Escobedo, Jeremy Jaillet and Stella Camargo, they will carry Willie to his final resting place.
