William Ernest Cata was reunited in heavenly presence with his wife Sandra Cata on April 5, 2026. 

William who often went by Ernest was born and raised in Espanola, NM, and graduated from Espanola High.

Ernest was a machinist as Los Alamos National Laboratory for over 30 years. Ernest was an avid runner and bicyclist, motorcycle enthusiast and guitarist. He was a man of many talents a large heart and helping hands.

Services  will take place on Thursday, April 23, 2026, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Espanola, NM, with Rosary at 9:30 am and Mass to follow at 10:30 am. Burial to follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery.
