Virgil "Ramsey" Vigil

d. March 29, 2023

Our beloved son, Virgil “Ramsey” Vigil passed away on March 29th, 2023. Ramsey was an amazing person who was vibrant, energetic, charismatic, resilient, compassionate, and full of life. Ramsey had a contagious laugh, and a beautiful smile that would light up the room. Ramsey had many nicknames: Chama, RAMZ, and Dimples.

Ramsey loved his boys Evan and Luke dearly; they were his pride and joy. Ramsey was honored to have Stephanie Gonzales as the mother of his children.

Ramsey was not only loved and favored by his family, but he loved his nephews (Logan and Clyde), cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends. He also cherished his godchildren: Clyde Vigil and Nicki Gallegos. He also had a very special place in his heart for “Grandma Rose,” and spoke a lot about her before his passing.

Ramsey grew up on the ranch and loved being around cattle since he was a boy. He loved being in the mountains scouting, fishing, and hunting. He was particularly fond of his horse “Tommy” and his cow “Blackjack.” Ramsey was an avid football player, but also played soccer, basketball, and baseball when he was growing up.

Anyone who met Ramsey, he always made a lasting impression on you.  Ramsey was quite the character, the artist, and the builder in the family. Ramsey was always willing to lend a hand whenever he was needed.

Ramsey was a graduate of Pojoaque Valley High School and Northern New Mexico College. Ramsey later went on to pursue his electrical journeyman license through IBEW (local 611).
