Our beloved Vincent Salazar, 53, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 4, in Albuquerque.
Vince was a member of the Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Albuquerque. He retired after 28 years from Sandia National Laboratories.
Vince was born in Pojoaque to Esequiel and Clara Salazar. He graduated from St. Michael’s High School in Santa Fe, and New Mexico State University in Las Cruces.
Vince was preceded in death by his parents and father-in-law, Fidel Valdez. He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Carolyn; sons: David, Vincent and wife Courtney; daughter, Raquel and husband Andrew; grandchildren: Connor and Patrick; mother-in-law Margie Valdez; sister Charlotte and husband Ben; brothers: Steven and wife Cathy, Victor and wife Stephanie, Edward and wife Mary Alice; brother-in-law Anthony and wife Anna, sister-in-law Christine, and brother-in-law Jesse and wife Angela.
Services at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 12500 Carmel Ave NE 87122: rosary on Sunday, April 9 at 7 pm; mass Monday, April 10 at 11 am. Internment to follow at Rosario Cemetery in Santa Fe.
